Got me 'Book line & Sinker again!!! Ashok Banker continues to tantalise the imagination and narrates the ancient itihasas in such a way that you cannot but read the book from start to finish in one go!
I'd ordered the book from flipkart.com and got it in just two days.... I did a little jig around my house after I got the book. That excited I was to get it in my hands...
I'd posted earlier about the Ramayana Series by Ashok Banker... This one is the beginning of an 8 part series on Lord Krishna. It starts off with Kamsa and his atrocities. This book doesnt even feature Krishna, it only leads to the events by which Lord Krishna's birth takes place...
Like J says - "banker is a cracker! its got me gripped, dripped, stripped, tripped".
The book is easy to read, goes on at a really fast pace and brings to life all the characters. I could imagine Kamsa as the rakshas with grotesque stuff all over his body, Vasudeva and his demeanour, the fear of the people, the mohini fauj... its written so well, its like a movie in front of your eyes... Yes, I managed to finish 330 pages of the book in under 4 hours... 4 hours well spent I would say. For once I dint suffer from ADD... and for that I have Ashok Banker to thank! Loving it! Eagerly awaiting Part 2.
